We are too lax on this updating!

So, it has been way too long since James and I have updated this blog!  The holidays came and then, bam, its the end of January already!  Its been a busy 6 weeks or so. Right before Christmas, we went to Busch Gardens Christmas Town.  It was really fun.  James had a good time.  He loved the penguins.  Then,  we had our first Christmas here in Williamsburg!  James received more toys that we really know what to do with!  Some are in the attic for a mid-year Christmas ;-)

January rolled around and the flu bug came through our house... Trevor had the flu for about a week.  It was pretty grim around here.  And then in the middle of that, James got an upper respiratory and ear infection.  Nurse Danielle was working full time and trying not to get sick, as well.  I spent most of that week in a face mask and gloves.  And lo and behold, as of right now, I did not get the flu!

Last week, James experienced snow for the first time!  I think he liked it, though it was hard to tell... he was barely able to move in that big ol' snowsuit!  It seems we have more snow in the forecast for this week, so we'll get to play again!  It's time for me to go play with some trucks with the little guy. Will write more soon (hopefully sooner than last time!)

Taking steps...

As you probably already know, I starting to take a few steps a few weeks ago.  I haven't progressed much since.  I can go from one side of the play yard to the other.  But don't worry, I'm working on it... Soon enough I'll be able to run!  So watch out!

This video was from the first few days of my toddling... I'm getting much better!

Thanksgiving was super yummy!

Mommy and Daddy took me to Thanksgiving dinner in New Jersey.  I got to play with my second cousin Jada.  We had fun playing with Mommy's old toys.

I had a very tasty dinner.  Grandma fed me turnips and sweet potatoes, and turkey and cranberry sauce. i was just like a big boy!  Can't wait for Thanksgiving again next year!

My 8 Month Photo Shoot... fail.

My 8 month photo shoot wasn't as easy or as fun for mom as she thought it would be...  Since it was just the two of us, we went out to a field by our house that had these BIGGG bales of hay.  On the short walk there- I spit up sweet potatoes all over myself. I guess they didn't agree with my belly... NOT my fault!  Mom wasn't happy because she didn't bring a change of clothes.  When we got there, she let me stand up right next to the hay bales.  The first thing I did was try to eat it... I don't know why Mom was surprised.  That's just what I always do.  I want to know what it tastes like... But, another problem came up.  I don't have good hand/eye coordination yet.  I scratched my face.  So now, I had a messy shirt and a scratch on my face.  Mom really wasn't happy now! Whoops!

Here are the pictures that she was able to take.  We even took a few more when we got home with the leaves, to show the seasons.  See you all soon :)

As Jake would say... "Trick or Treasure"

I should probably tell you who Jake is.  Jake is the star of "Jake and the Neverland Pirates," which is one of my favorite shows.  Instead of Trick or Treat, the characters do Trick or Treasure.  That's what I did on my first Halloween.  I was a green dino and I was on the move (like usual)...  I went around the neighborhood with my neighbor, Chase.  I can't wait until next year when I'll be able to walk!

In that last picture, you can even see those teeth that I was working on for MONTHS!

I do a lot of playing during the day.  I'm a really busy boy.  Mommy put me in a box and it was the best toy I've played with in a while!  No need to spend a lot of money on me! :)

They say that I'm a daredevil

I recently celebrated my 7th month birthday.  I took some pictures in Williamsburg with Thomas Jefferson.  He seems like a good guy, at least that's what mom says...

Since the last time there was a post, I went on another plane ride.  This time I went to Wisconsin.  It was "soon-to-be Aunt" Molly's bridal shower.  It was chilly and we ended up spending a lot of time in the airport but I promise I was a good boy.  I had so much fun in Wisconsin though.  The Gjovik's are really nice.  I made some new friends too: Jordan, Max, Brayden, and Ella.  I can't wait to boogie with them at Uncle Johnnie and Aunt Molly's wedding in May.

Much to mom's disappointment, in the last month, I've learned to crawl quickly and pull myself up.  Not only that, I don't have this thing mom calls "fear."  Not sure what that is, but she tells me that when I'm playing sometimes and I fall on my noggin.  The problem is I realllllly want to walk.  So when I'm standing, I let go and hope my feet will start moving.  The only problem is that I don't have good balance yet and most times I go Kerplunk!  I can hold on and move around my play area, but that's it so far :(  Maybe by the next post, I'll be up and walking.  (Shh, don't tell mom i'm practicing!)
